Research Project: Learning R.O.I.
The half-life time of knowledge is dramatically declining due to increasing speed of (technical) innovations, interconnectedness and transparency of knowledge. An ageing workforce population forces a refresh. There is not enough talent available on the market to replace and grow the business.
The maturity level, its efficiency and effectiveness of internal skill development will be a competitive advantage in the near future. Today it is unclear what the Return on Investment of skill development on business performance is. Decision makers use guesstimates to determine corporate strategy.
Enable decision makers to make data-driven informed decisions on human capital development to increase business performance. We further want to enable continuous data-driven optimisation of learning effectiveness and efficiency. With this, Learning & Development teams will be able to pro-actively identify and drive business improvement initiatives.
A pragmatic, scientifically and cross-industry validated data-based methodology to measurably link skill development with KPI performance improvements in the areas of operational excellence, innovation, sales performance and customer satisfaction. Being able to determine the Return On Investment of training and/ or coaching initiatives for the reform, enhancement and advancement of organizational goals and objectives. We will provide a scientific publication and accompanying book with anonymised results.
A core research team of 4 people work collaboratively and iteratively with resources of participating organisations. We seek a minimalist and pragmatic approach that is in-line as much as possible with existing processes to reduce additional strain. Data analytics, instructional design and trainer resources must come from participating companies due to data protection and economic viability.
Core Research Team
We are continuously looking for organisations that want to validate our methodology. If you want to learn more, please contact Patrick Veenhoff by booking a 30 minute online meeting with him.
We have certain admission criteria to ensure the validity of our research and the commitment of participating organisations to ensure the success of this research endeavour.
Please note that this is a research project where we validate a methodology; it is not a consulting mandate where we guarantee a desired outcome. We aim to validate this methodology with a minimum overhead and interruption of your daily business. We expect an open-minded attitude with a willingness to learn and adopt.
